Who I Am

After being named Class Artist in high school, I moved to Boulder, Colorado to pursue a degree in civil engineering at CU. I was fortunate enough to spend a year studying abroad in Wollongong, Australia, and discovered the ancient artistic styles and methods of the aboriginal people in the vast Australian outback.

From 2002 to 2006, I was also involved with the local chapter of Engineers Without Borders, volunteering as Project Manager on the design and construction of a 55 foot long vehicular bridge in rural Haiti. I traveled to Haiti four times during the bridge's construction, gaining valuable knowledge in Third World construction methods, culture, and artistic styles.

My work combines the painting traditions of aboriginal Australia and other styles I've experienced through global travel with local Colorado and American landscapes, beings, and stories.
